This is family favorite. Bean burritos are cheap and easy to make, and they are delicious!

  • 30 oz can of refried beans
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (You can use any shredded cheese)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 6-8 wheat tortillas (You can use regular flour tortillas, but wheat tortillas have more fiber)
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Melt butter in the sauce pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Add refried beans garlic salt, stir until bubbling.

  4. Remove bean mixture from heat.

  5. Spoon bean mixture into tortilla in the shape of the burrito (not round). Make sure to leave enough room to fold the tortilla over the beans.

  6. Fold the tortilla over the bean mixture by folding the sides over the bean mixture, then while holding the sides in place, use your thumbs to wrap the tortilla over the beans and roll into burrito shape (see video for example). Continue untill all burritos are done. You should be able to get 6 to 8 burritos from bean mixture.

  7. Place the burritos in a baking dish.

  8. Using the basting brush, spread olive oil over each burrito (this will help to make the burritos crispy).

  9. Put the burritos in the oven for 10-15 minutes (take them out when the tops start to turn brown).

You can top with salsa, sour cream, guacamole, or whatever you like on your burrito!
